Notley Grey & Sarah Ann Keller having claim to the service of Eleanor Addison & Henrietta Addison her child and having neglected to file the schedule according to the provisions of an act concerning Emancipation approved April 16, 1862 These petitioners file this petition in lieu thereof in [accordance?], with the provisions of an act amendatory thereto approved July 12, 1862 and state that they had resided within this District for several years past & on the 16th of April 1862 & have resided in said District until the present time with the consent of their owners
