Sir

Thomas Green having having claim to the labor or service of Ellen Martin & having failed to file his Petition or schedule [illegible] the act of congress concerning Emancipation the undersigned files this her Petition in lieu thereof as provided in the act amendatory to said act approved July 12, 1862. Petitioner further states that she resided here on the 15th of April 1862 & has continued to reside here until the present time by the consent of her said owner that she is about 26 years of age about 5 ft high copper color
