Francis Boyle of Washington City in this District, having claim to service or labor (in the said District of Columbia) of the undersigned, & her child (a minor) Jacob Lee, and having refused or neglected to file in your office the statement in writing or schedule provided for in the 9th Section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act for the release of certain persons held to service or labor in the District of Columbia approved April 16 1862. You will please file the annexed Schedule in pursuance of an act supplementary to the above recited act approved July 12 1862. The said Amelia Lee, states that she & her said child Jacob were residents of said District on the 16th of April 1862, about six years previous with the consent of said Boyle.

J. Carroll Brent. I have long known Amelia she belonged to my cousin Robt T Marsh & after his death she was sold to Francis Boyle She has been living here and has since 16 April. Mr Boyle lives here in the District and servant was with Mr Boyle here 16 Apl 1862.
