Sir,

Daniel Fitzhugh of Fairfax County, Va having claim to service or labor of the undersigned, and having refused or failed to file in your office the statement in writing or schedule provided for in the 9th section of the Act of Congress, entitled "An Act for the release of certain persons held to service or labor in the District of Columbia" approved 16th April 1862.

You will please file the annexed schedule in pursuance of an act supplementary to the above recited act approved 12th July 1862. The undersigned resided in Washington before and at the time of the passage of said act of 16th April 1862 with their late owners consent.

Wash Wren. I do not know that I recognise servants. Yes I recognise Lucretia as belonging to my wifes sister Mrs Fitzhugh. If they are Mr Fitzhughs They are not here with his consent I do not believe he knows where they are

Sinah Ellen. we came here without Mr Fitzhughs knowledge I was hired to Gen Beauregard & came away last March when U.S. soldiers went up.
