John Warren of Washn DC having claim to service or labor of the undersigned and having refused or neglected to file in your office the statement in writing or Schedule provided for in the 9th Section of the Act of Congress Entitled "An Act for the release of certain persons held to service or labor in the District of Columbia" approved April 16th 1862,
You will please file and record in your office the annexed Schedule in pursuance of an act supplementary to the above recited act approved July 12th 1862. The Said Maria Warren was resident of the Said District on the 16th April 1862, and had been for Seven years previous.

The Commissioners, satisfied on the testimony of Thomas J. Fisher, of the truth of the within statement, order the same to be so reported to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia.

Thomas J. Fisher. I know this servant and know she was servant of Wm. Thomas Carroll and sold by him to John Warren as appears by bill of sale. I loaned Warren money to purchase her. She was here 16 April 1862 and since and for years before with owners consent.
