CASE 50.—Private R. Emerick, Co. D, 82d Pennsylvania, aged 28 years, was wounded at Cold Harbor, June 1, 1864, and admitted to hospital at Alexandria, and subsequently to Pittsburg. Surgeon J. Bryan, U. S. V., reported that he was transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps, October 8, 1864, by reason of "a grapeshot wound, dislocating the right femur." Not a pensioner.
