Additional Information: The new General Hospital (Alexandria) took over from the Old General Hospital (Alexandria) when the hospital moved into the Mansion House on the corner of Fairfax and Cameron Streets. When the hospitals were organized into divisions on Sept. 20, 1862, Mansion House became a branch of the 1st Division General Hospital.
