On the same night that the police raided Till Wade's house, they raided "the notorius den of Eliza Crittenden in Prather's Alley." Both "black and white" girls were arrested: Mary Eaton, Mary Jane Holley, Sarah Bonds, Annie Eaton and Elizabeth McManus. Justice Walter fined the women $1.00 each; he fined the keeper $11. "Two negro men, found in the same hosue, were also arrested, but as nothing could be proved against them they were dismissed."
