American Civil War Research Database
, however, identifies a George W. Beaman as a member of the 4th Michigan Infantry. Further information in each record suggests that both sources are referring to the same soldier. Beaman (or, Beeman) was admitted to Seminary Hospital as a case of typhoid fever. He received treatment before being transferred to Annapolis, Maryland.
