T. Barbin of Co. C, 81st Pennsylvania was wounded in the right foot at Fredericksburg on December 13, 1862. Barbin received treatment initially at Mount Pleasant Hospital and was transferred to Mower Hospital in Philadelphia, where further treatment was administered. Barbin remained in Philadelphia on furlough and never returned to duty. As a result of his injury, Barbin was mustered out of service in late November 1863.
