Sir,

Nathan Cook of Montgomery County, Md having claim to the service or labor of the undersigned, and having failed or refused to file his claim therefor in your Office provided for in the 9th section of the Act of Congress, entitled "An Act for the release of certain persons held to service or labor in the District of Columbia" Approved 16th April 1862.

You will please file the annexed schedule in pursuance of an act supplementary to the above recited act approved 12th July 1862. The undersigned resided in Washington D.C. before and at the time of the passage of said act of 16th April 1862 with the consent of said owner.
