        <body xml:id="ch1.sc3.0125">            
                <p><name type="person" key="399"><hi rend="initialcap">E</hi>NGLEHART, <hi
                            rend="initialcap">L</hi>OUIS</name>, Private, <name type="organization"
                        key="609">Co. E, 59th New York Volunteers</name>, received a gunshot wound
                    of the scalp, grazing and bruising the cranium.  He was admitted to <name
                        type="hospital" key="162">Douglas Hospital</name>, Washington, on <date
                        type="admit" when="1863-12-12">December 12th, 1863</date>, suffering from
                    concussion of the brain.  He recovered, and was sent to the <name type="person">Provost Marshal</name> on
                        <date type="duty" when="1864-02-06">February 6th, 1864</date>.</p>
