                <p><hi rend="initialcap">C</hi>ASE.&#8212;<name type="person" key="304">Private
                        David Titus</name>, <name type="organization" key="152">Co. M, 1st New
                            Jersey Cavalry</name>, aged 19 years, received, at the battle of <name type="BATTLE"
                                key="259">the Wilderness, Virginia</name>, <date type="injury"
                        when="1864-05-05">May 5th, 1864</date>, a gunshot wound of the scalp, over
                    the left temporal region.  On <date type="admit" when="1864-05-12">May
                        12th</date>, he was admitted to <name type="hospital" key="165">Mount
                        Pleasant Hospital</name>, Washington, D. C., and on <date type="transfer"
                            when="1864-06-10">June 10th</date>, transferred to DeCamp Hospital, <name type="place">New York
                                Harbor</name>, where he died on <date type="death" when="1864-06-21">June 21st,
                        1864</date>.   <name type="person" key="305">Assistant Surgeon Warren
                        Webster</name>, <name type="organization" key="190">U. S. A.</name>,
                    reported the case. </p>
