        <body xml:id="ch1.sc2.0013">            
            <p><hi rend="initialcap">C</hi>ASE.&#8212;<name type="person" key="125">Corporal Adam Gaslein</name>, <name type="organization" key="134">Co. B, 6th
                        Pennsylvania Cavalry</name>, had a simple fracture of the vault of the
                    cranium, in <date type="injury" when="1863-04">April, 1863</date>, caused by a
                    blow from a stone. He was admitted to <name type="hospital" key="157">Columbian
                        Hospital</name>, Washington, on <date type="admit" when="1863-04-04">April
                        4th, 1863</date>.  He had a very protracted convalescence, and finally
                    recovered perfectly, and returned to duty, <date type="duty" when="1864-04-12">April 12th, 1864</date>.  <name type="person" key="126">Surgeon T. R.
                        Crosby</name>, <name type="organization" key="132">U. S. V.</name>, reports
                    the case. </p>
