                <p><name type="person" key="1138"><hi rend="initialcap">G</hi>ODSMARK, <hi
                            rend="initialcap">G</hi>EORGE <hi rend="initialcap">A</hi>.</name>,
                    Private, <name type="organization" key="372">Co. F, 7th Michigan Cavalry</name>,
                    aged 19 years. Sabre-cut of the right parietal region, four inches in length,
                    with partial fracture of the bone. <name type="BATTLE" key="249"
                        >Gettysburg</name>, <date type="injury" when="1863-07-03">July 3d,
                        1863</date>. Admitted to <name type="hospital" key="173">Harewood
                            Hospital</name>, Washington, <date type="admit" when="1863-07-24">July 24th</date>, where a <name type="operation">spicul&#230; of bone,
                            one inch in length, was removed</name>. <date when="1963-08-18">August 18th</date>, the patient was much improved, and
                    the wound was nearly healed. The intellect at times was dull and impaired, with
                    defective hearing. Returned to duty <date type="duty" when="1863-11-11">November
                        11th, 1863</date>.</p>
