                                <p><hi rend="initialcap">C</hi>ASE 10.&#8212;<name type="person"
                                                key="450">Private George W. Hamilton</name>, <name
                                                type="organization" key="399">Co. G, 6th Md.
                                                Vols.</name>; age 22; was admitted <date
                                                type="admit" when="1863-08-19">August 19,
                                                1863</date>, in a dying condition from
                                        typho-malarial fever. He had diarrh&#339;a with
                                        involuntary stools, fulness and tenderness of the abdomen
                                        and sordes on his lips and gums. He became delirious on <date when="1863-08-21">the
                                                21st</date> and much prostrated. He died <date type="death"
                                                when="1863-08-22">next day</date>. Neutral mixture,
                                        astringents, stimulants and sponging with warm water and
                                        alcohol were used in the treatment.&#8212;<hi
