CASE 8.—Post-mortem
examination: The pericardium, which was thick and opaque,
contained six ounces of serum and lymph; the endocardium was
injected; the chordæ tendineæ in the right ventricle
showed some adherent fibrin; the left ventricle contained a
fibrinous clot.—
